HR Strategies for 2023

HR strategies change based on the environment and the needs of the organization they are serving.  Since the last 2 to 3 years have been so turbulent and challenging for human resources, we thought you might find the feedback from other HR leaders helpful.  The future of work points to increased hybrid organizations and continuing change in the employee/employer dynamics.

Gartner conducted an annual survey of more than 800 HR leaders and identified the top 5 priorities for HR in 2023. Top of the list is leader and manager effectiveness, but many HR leaders will also prioritize change management, employee experience, recruiting and future of work.

There are three drivers of these priorities from the Gartner’s report:

  1. Economic pressure
  2. Supply chain constraints
  3. Scare and expensive talent

These drivers impact all the HR priorities. And make it important for HR leaders to make these strategies their priority.

  1. Leader and manager effectiveness
  2. Organizational design and management
  3. Employee experience
  4. Recruiting
  5. Change management/Future of work

Of particular interest to us is that recruiting is a top priority for 46% of HR leaders, and 36% say their sourcing strategies are insufficient for finding the skills they need.

To address recruiting gaps, Gartner’s finding suggests three strategies to support strong talent and business outcomes in today’s market:

  • Build an intelligence-based sourcing capability.
  • Create an equitable internal labor market.
  • Build onboarding for engagement.

Hire Outcomes HR can help smaller health care organizations recruit much faster than in the past year. If your organization is setting goals to improve hiring results for department heads and your patient/resident to health care professional ratio, we can help with this. We are passionate about finding the right health care professional for your organization and would like to ask you about your workforce planning/pipeline building needs for 2023 and to help you achieve your goals.
